I would love to have the perfect complexion.
I’m pretty sensitive about my skin thanks to a bad bout of acne back in the day. I think it’s the thing I notice and dislike the most if I had to critique myself. The acne is gone now, although occasionally a few zits will rear their ugly heads, but it’s left my skin in a pretty temperamental state.
Poor complexion includes one or more of the following symptoms: sensitivity, pigmentation, dryness, wrinkles, blotches and/or pimples.
I’ve made the decision to really baby my skin and whether you’d like to follow along or join me, you’re absolutely welcome. To begin I’ve done a little research and there are five important things we need to keep in mind as we start this endeavor.
1. Internal hydration - Skin must be hydrated and nourished from the inside. Make sure to drink lots of water, vegetable juices or green smoothies every day to provide adequate hydration for a glowing complexion. Eat a diet high in raw and cooked fruits and vegetables (preferably raw) for their skin nourishing nutrients and water content.
2. Well functioning organs - Skin glow begins with ideal performance of the vital organs, the largest of which is your skin! Cleanse your system through colonics to detoxify from within. Juice fasting one day a week will help flush out toxins that can ruin your complexion (I have never tried either of these so we’ll see how this goes…)
3. Exfoliate - Skin sheds about 40,000 dead cells every minute. Make sure you exfoliate often. A good quality green clay mask helps remove dirt and debris that clog pores. Using a mild scrub removes dirt and debris and stimulates circulation. The face should be cleansed daily.
4. Moisturize – External hydration is also important to healthy skin. Good moisturizer increases skin hydration and elasticity. Apply a light moisturizer daily as part of you morning regimen. Deep moisturize at night before bed.
5. Stimulate - Stimulation of the outer skin layer encourages its regeneration. Get a facial massage to stimulate blood flow in the skin. Perform facial exercises as part of your daily regimen. Take a relatively firm brush and gently rub over your face twice a week.
Stay tuned for updates! Feel free to shoot me some advice if you’ve found something that’s worked for you!
even know that I'm a guy I think I'm going to try a couple of these I've been lucky I guess I don't have any acne scars. my big problem is that I have dark circles under my eyes what I have no idea where they come from. Lol so guys worry about this stuff too I guess
ReplyDeleteI've suffered from dark circles too. I am unsure of the cause, but they seem to be worse when my allergies flare up. I'll research and post a blog about dark circles in the future!

ReplyDeleteIt's a bummer that more bloggers don't respond to their commenters. I appreciate anyone who takes the time to view my content and comment (nice comments of course, lol). Why create content if no one is going to enjoy it? Sure you can make it for yourself, but if that's the case why post it on the internet? I'll send an email to this address.
