I am looking forward to the Mists of Pandaria expansion for World of Warcraft. Come on September 25th, hurry up and get here already!
I must be an optimist because I’ve heard many negative comments about World of Warcraft over the years and I personally have never been disappointed. Regarding this expansion, I am excited and happy to have even more content to experience. It was only a matter of time before the Pandaren we have seen through the artwork of Samwise Didier came to life, and I for one will be enjoying myself instead of picking it apart. Games are meant to be enjoyed!

Due to a better Internet connection I’ve begun taking advantage of purchasing the digital copies of video games. As much as I enjoy meeting my fellow gamer geeks and chatting with them while we wait outside GameStop until midnight, I will forfeit the pleasure this time to stay warm and comfortable in my own home. I will be celebrating by purchasing myself Chinese food and chowing down whilst I watch Kung Fu Panda (the perfect movie selection for this occasion). I will then take a nap and wake up in time to start playing when the clock strikes midnight.
Even better, I have finally allowed myself to take a day off for the release of a game. Most of the time I just stay up all night and try to power through the next work day, but I always end up paying for it, so this time I took off one day and we’ll see how it goes.
Where will you be? And how will you celebrate?
It's awesome that you're so positive; the older I get, the more important I think that is. I agree about WoW and people's opinions. I've always been excited about new releases and pleased with the content. I like that the game is getting more accessible (easier). There's clearly still an elite group of guilds, but then there's plenty of solo and PUG content (more my speed).
ReplyDeleteI had to rely a lot on solo content when my Internet connection was terrible, mainly because I didn't want anyone to have to rely on me when my lag was so bad. I am happy they've made it more solo friendly. I'm also a big fan of the phasing technology which makes me feel like I've actually accomplished something by turning in quests. I would like to get back into raiding in the future, but we'll have to see when the time comes. Are you planning on playing MOP?

DeleteInteresting thought about the population being melee heavy b/c of the monk class. Never occurred to me. Duh. I've been playing since the game came out, and while my friends have all stopped and quit - I am actually looking forward to this. I like that thought of not having to put a bazillion hours into thinking about my talent tree. Cool blog!
ReplyDeleteThank you!! Did your friends stop or quit because of the expansion? Or have they just lost interest? I believe it will be a good expansion, despite so many negative thoughts. What class do you play?
