Cameron and I purchased our first Christmas tree together this past weekend. Decorated with care, it has a mismatched collection of ornaments that we've inherited from our folks and grandfolks over the years.
On any given year, my family selects a tree from a local tree farm. The kind of farm where you venture out into a field with a saw, pick your own tree and bring it home. This year we purchased from a local hardware store and it is a pretty beautiful tree, a noble fir to be exact.
We light it all the time. Well, not all of the time we do turn it off when it's light outside or when we are away, but for the most part it remains lit in our living room. A comforting, sparkling glow. A reminder of the season.

ReplyDeleteoooo ahhhh... that is a beautiful tree but when i comes to Christmas im a traditionalist. real trees station bows red silver and gold glass and wood ornaments, white lights... call me old fashioned... your tree is classic Christmas to me. 2 big fat Santa thumbs up
