Happy New Year! I can’t thank you all enough for your support and interaction throughout this past year!
I believe in making resolutions; they give you the focus to complete certain tasks. Resolutions can be made any time of the year, and should be in some cases, but it’s traditional to make them for the fresh start of a new year and it’s all in good fun!
This year I have created 14 resolutions to complete before next New Year’s Day. Some of them I have already begun to work on and I’m feeling really positive about getting everything accomplished!
- Find two blog sponsors.
- Finish a paint-by-numbers painting.
- Get one of my planned tattoos.
- Learn and practice Yoga.
- Learn calligraphy.
- Learn to play the Piano.
- Plant and utilize a “Kitchen” garden.
- Prepare for pregnancy.
- Purchase My Father’s Daughter by Gwyneth Paltrow and try every recipe in it.
- Reach 400 subscribers on my blog.
- Read 20 novels and/or graphic novels (5 our more must be classics).
- Scan and archive family albums.
- Solve a Rubik’s cube.
- Travel for two year wedding anniversary.

ReplyDeletePregnancy, yoga, recipes and calligraphy all seem like loaded quantity, each for their own reasons. I am not putting them down, and I do have faith in you but that said: Pregnancy brings on a whole host of questions and the essentials of preparation has a lot of uncertain factors, and as such, what do you mean by "prepare"?, is the first logical step in that line. Recipes and yoga both carry a similar base line, time and possibly money. The final carries a time concern, but also the challenge of being a new language (assuming we're talking traditional calligraphy here) but also an artform.
ReplyDeleteTherein are my concerns with your list, and while a year is quite a long time, it is not so long for those who are getting older. Already, at our age, time flashes by faster than I'd like to admit. Keep those in mind, alright? Having said my piece, I also wish you the best of luck and extend the thought that I know you can do it. =)
I'd make a resolution, or a small list of them, but I am already following my resolution of 5 years previous: "
Being that in face of the fact that most resolutions are lost and forgotten within a month, I hereby resolve to never again make a New Year's Resolution and vow to make resolve within myself, that I may reach any goal I set before myself within a time frame I set at its creation and failing that, within a year."
With any luck, you'll let us know when you complete any of these tasks. Happy New Year, Miss Lissa!
