Little Inferno - The First 30 Minutes

August 30, 2013

Hello and welcome to an introductory 30 minute look at Little Inferno. This is not a review, this is a first impression for you, the viewer, to get an idea of what this game has in store for you should you choose to purchase and play it for yourself.

Little Inferno is an independent casual adventure game developed and published by The Tomorrow Corporation for Microsoft Windows, OS X and Linux.

Congratulations on your new Little Inferno Entertainment Fireplace! Throw your toys into your fire, and play with them as they burn. Stay warm in there. It's getting cold outside! Burn flaming logs, screaming robots, credit cards, batteries, exploding fish, unstable nuclear devices, and tiny galaxies. An adventure that takes place almost entirely in front of a fireplace - about looking up up up out of the chimney, and the cold world just on the other side of the wall.

What could be so appealing about a game focused on burning items within your fireplace? This game goes far beyond pyromaniac tendencies, try it out!

Re-branding

August 28, 2013

After much thought, I decided to re-brand myself throughout my social media. It’s easier for everyone and myself if I use the same name everywhere.

There were two main ideas I wanted to express by changing my branding approach. First, I wanted to create a new logo that was bright, happy, inviting; but still video game related. I thought of other ways I could represent a heart using video game related matter and it struck me that I could stack Tetris pieces together to create a heart shape. Using colors inspired by a Peter Max painting, I pieced together my Heart logo and I love how it turned out!

Secondly, I didn’t want to be known as iMelissaGale anymore. Melissa Gale is fine, it’s my first and middle names combined, I just didn’t want the “i” before it anymore. It made me feel like a Mac product, instead of myself, and I definitely want to be seen as my own entity. When I went to go look for usernames though everything related to Melissa Gale Gorman and Geek at Heart were already snatched up. I decided to give “Geek at Heart” a little tweak by adding “ily” to the end of Heart, “Geek at Heartily”. You can now find me at the following sites.

I ran into a small problem with YouTube and their policy that you cannot change your URL once you’ve selected it. I had to create a brand new YouTube channel just to unify everything. If you were subscribed to my previous channel, please subscribe to my new one! I can’t thank you enough for supporting me when I need it the most!

We're moving!

August 26, 2013

Cameron and I have made the decision to move! Instead of renting a full apartment to ourselves, we will be renting three rooms for considerably less money.

We are doing this to get out of the irritating apartment complex we live in currently, but more importantly we are doing this to save money for moving in the future. I begin working for Jesse full time in November and although he’s been kind enough to allow me to telecommute for now, I will need to move closer to him eventually.

The final day of our lease is September 19th, however we are hoping to be completely moved out by September 15th. Wish us luck!
