Braid - The First 30 Minutes

May 28, 2013

Hello and welcome to an introductory 30 minute look at Braid. This is not a review, this is a first impression for you, the viewer, to get an idea of what this game has in store for you should you choose to purchase and play it for yourself. After I finish the game, a written review will be posted here to supply a more well-rounded pool of information.

Braid is a whimsical puzzle-platformer designed by Jonathan Blow. It features protagonist Tim, who can manipulate the flow of time in strange and unusual ways, as he searches for a princess who has been abducted by a horrible and evil monster.

The Time's They Are a-Changin'

Welcome back 'Bees!

You may remember a post I wrote in September about doing things with passion, or not at all.

I want to be passionate about life; what I say, what I do. I want to be passionate about how I make a living and enjoy it so that each day isn’t just about existing, but about doing what I love.

Video games are my passion. I think about what I’m playing, what I want to play, what I’ve played in the past. I research how to be better and what products are better. I’ve played video games since I was three or four years old and I have never grown tired or bored with the concept of gaming.

Jesse Cox is (in my humble opinion) the best video game entertainer out there. Jesse makes it FUN to listen to him. He cracks jokes, creates voices for the characters and expresses humorous reactions to the content. I find myself laughing often and it’s what has always pulled me back in for more.

Not too long ago, I applied to Jesse for a personal assistant position and to my pleasant surprise he hired me! This Saturday was my first day and although I was really nervous, I applied myself to the tasks Jesse gave me and had a lot of fun. I look forward to working with him more often (I’ll be traveling down there again this Saturday) and associating myself more with the gaming industry than the career I have now.

So now you know! I've been a little distracted these last few weeks with the Vegas vacation and preparing for my first day with Jesse.

There might be a few little hiccups in the posting schedule until I figure out how to balance all of my schedules together, so bear with me!
